We're happy that you've stopped by!
We are a friendly church open to people of all ages and backgrounds. You are welcome to be part of our community whether you would like to find out more about the Christian faith, whether you are a fairly new Christian wanting to learn and be encouraged or whether you have an established faith looking to serve and continue growing. Whoever you are, you will find a warm welcome at our church.
We are a small community but with a vision to grow. New people have been visiting us and most of them have decided to join us. Our building maybe old but the church alive and growing. We have a range of activities which you are welcome to join.

NEW Prayer Surgery
Every Friday, 10am – 1:30pm, starting Friday 17th September Come along to the Baptist church in the Town Centre and receive prayer for all your particular needs or send your prayer request to us from anywhere at any time (contact details below). All requests are treated confidentially. As we go through life, situations often arise when we would like someone to help us. Situations such as sickness, job interview, financial problems, abuse, an accident, emotional hurts, family issues; sometimes the issue is just too painful to talk about but you know you need help. The good news is that whatever the issue you are facing Christian volunteers will pray for you or with you. Prayer really works, try it!
NEW Alpha Course
Every Sunday at 5pm starting 4th October in the Baptist Church
What Is Alpha? The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. It’s completely free, relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. It’s a place where people can come and ask questions, delve into issues and look for answers together. We don’t assume any background knowledge or belief in Christianity. Who Is Alpha For? Alpha course is open to anyone who would like to attend: people of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints. How the Course Works? The course is based around small groups. Each session begins with refreshments. There is then a short talk, which looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time of discussion and questions. The emphasis is upon exploration and discovery in a relaxed and informal environment. The course lasts for 10 weeks all recourses provided and there is no charge for attending. Book a place now!
